bleeding dual caliper brembo
#1
alright so ive ran through about 4 bottles of brake fluid trying to bleed the brakes on my 636, i cant get Mike C to respond to tell me if the calipers are bad or anything so i seek further help. i have an air bleeder and have bled the master and have been working on bleeding the caliper but im hardly getting any response out of the lever and no more bubbles are coming through the air bleeder. i have the master flipped right side up and im going to buy more fluid, is this normal to go through 5 bottles of this stuff to get the air out of an 80" line? any other recommendations?

put a clear hose on nipple and loop it up to your res. and crack that shit and get pumpin...itll push up into the res and just loop the fuid and any air will bubble out as it drips into the res..if you cant get pressure than you mabe have a stuck piston on a caliper or poss. a bad/laky master...good luck

lose the air bleeder and manually bleed it. should be able to do it with 1 bottle
ps. I highly doubt you have a bad caliper/master, just about everyone has a hard time bleeding their first HB

I got my fresh line filled and bled on my first handbrake with less than half a bottle...

+1 on hose looped up to reservoir

its not my first which is why i wasnt sure what was going on, mike called me and straightened it out, i had the wrong caliper on the back and the nipple was facing down causing air to continue to flow through the line. switched brake pads (after shavin off the top) and the caliper to the right one and bled it in about 10 min. if perfection was real, my hand brake would be the definition. thanks guys for the quick response

putting the line back into the reservoir probably isnt a good idea , for one any crap in the caliper will end up in the reservoir and could very easily clog your hand master and alot of times the fluid coming out of the bleeder is aerated and will just make it harder to bleed the system ..

i use the clear hose looped over the tail of the bike but i just put the end in an old brake fluid bottle
