Hey I was looking at lifan motors and they make the 150cc motor that will drop right in the 50 frame. They are goin for just under 500 on ebay. Anyone have any experience with these motors?
Im runnng the stock honda motor in mine I was just thinking about maybe putting a big lifan motor in another 50 frame to have to just rip around on. Any thoughts?

Or you can look for a 70 motor to stick in there.

Yea Im happy with the stock motor for stunting. Im thinking about an 88 kit for it. But Im also trying to build a little fiddy to rock around the neighborhood and hit the trails now and then. So the best bang for the buck is what Im looking for. Them Lifan motors look like a good deal if they will hold up thats what I was hoping to hear from anyone who has ran one before.

You should be fin with them. Oil is cheap and it takes less then a quart so it you keep up with the oil and check the valves after hard riding you should be fine. Just chang the oil in the motor when you get it.

we set up a 150 12" stunt mini moto and the engine lasted 6 months before exploding! And we changed oil and filter regularly, and checked valves after every ride. engine blew up in a second gear 50-50 wheelie! put my cousin out of riding for a couple weeks! I just stick to the honda with a stage 3 88kit!

I rode a old school z50 with a lifan 125cc & it was bad ass! Didn't hit any false nuetrals downshifting either. It was a new motor though so.....

i have the 125 lifan, the bike is roadlegal (germany) and it runs perfect! you should not use engine's bigger than 125cc (lifans) becouse the crackshaft cant handle it realy good and youre motor can die.. but the 125 is doing it now perfect for a year, only changed the oil 1 time, and 1 time valves clearance check. still runs like a new one.
