Mileage ?!?

lol i love when the guys says , o dont worry about that loud noise it will go away ! hahaha ! Also had a guy says the smoke coming out is normal. I always play dumb when i go look at a bike just to see how ppl try to sell it lol

I bought mine in Jan '06 with 7,200 miles on it. I'm in the middle of building it up now as a stunter, it's got just over 42,000. It's never been down and I maintained it fairly well and all intensive mechanical work and tuning has been done by Smithers. I got no worries about putting a high miler through it's paces.

like you said how well its been takin care of is key. props to having 42000 miles to austin913 thats awesome but a kid i ride with has a 03 636 just hit like 20,000 engine sounds terrible and i mean terrible like its gonna come apart at any moment.

at 17k I replaced cam chain, tensioner, gears, and runners. prolly due for it again by now, but it's still running tip top. I've never really been religious about oil changes or anything, but I do make sure shit like that gets done. the bikes been ridden like a raped ape in the streets, at track days, and mashing 3rd gear pow pows on the interstates. maybe I got the good one?

i bought my 06 636 new. and now its got 22k on it runs minty and love it. cam chain was makin noise for 17k then i got it replaced. still runs fine. and my 03 636 stunter susposedly had 13- 15k on it when i got it but it doesnt have gagues and she hasnt had an easy life by far and it runs mint also. i put 260 miles on it in 1 day with +12 gearing and still runs strong.

Well, my street '08 zx6r that I pretty much only did wheelies on, never stunted, had somewhere around 30.5k miles on it and I was driving one day, and it dropped a cylinder, started making looooots of noise, and going slow as fuck. Took it in to the shop, and it turns out it bend the crankshaft. No idea what happened there...

Got almost 40k on the odometer now.
