When u make that lift for ur shock, u needa weld ur 1/4 square to the original mount on left n right side cus it butts against the lip on the frame and if u just slap a washer or spacer in the shock will spin around and rip ur hose off.. I hada redo mine when someone told me bout it, I looked at mine and sure enough it was turned almost 90 degress already. I grinded the head off the original mount and put a new bolt 3/4in longer thru and spot welded it in and grinded it to clear the top of shock. Then made my spacer out of 1/2in steel and welded down both sides. Its super solid and bike sits more like a 636 or 600rr now.

Yeah I used a rectangular 1/2" 572 grade steel and cut it to sit ontop of that lower lip and flush with the frame. the lip should keep it from spinning right? seemed pretty solid when I had it mounted earlier, but guess I could take it to work and spot weld it after its on\r\n

Looking for any donations for a cage that will run through that fairing hole I already cut, I gat no money, I have options of bent cages that I would have to heat up and straighten.\r\n

I realize when people wanted me to post my project they didnt mean in the f4i pic section so here is the start comments ideas?? post em

So this is the bike 3 years ago, I will keep the same color scheme but change up the tones of the colors and locations.

I started with a whole new frame and I began with waterjetting my name out of 1/4'' 6061 just short enough to allow air to enter into the frame and exit the hot air out the rear to keep my bike cool.

Clamped the plates to the frame and welded, and cut the extra plate off

The weld looked like crap so that will all be smoothed out before it goes off to be painted. I bought newer tail and stock fairings and cut them to the lower curve of the frame to show that it is unique. Also got a new subframe in the mix, Thanks DAKOTA!

If you noticed the stainless steel bendable pipe in the above picture it makes more sense below. I downsized the exhaust tubing and ovalized the bend pipe to run it inbetween the swingarm and the tire, gonna be getting a lot of heat wrap!

I killed some time wrapping up the new seat and getting excited over new gear for the season. Eventually my stocker 1000rr muffler came in the mail!

I know the 05 f4i travel of rear suspension was 4.7 inches so I was in serious need to get some more room so I took to the torch and a deadblow hammer. Smooshed it as much as I could without extreme damage and got the stock can mounts to line up with my round bar front mounts.

Loose mach up and I still needed more clearance and decided on a rear suspension lift through nardeen or I might make my own. Money right now is holding me back but I am shooting for Hohey adjustable clipons mounted under the tripple, forks will be flush with the top of the tripple to raise the front an inch, I might go up two in the rear (im kinda tall). Im also stuck between the new full throttle dual quad with three calipers, or the crashcage.de setup that would allow me to go with THREE 4 piston 636 calipers!

I My goal is to build a stuntbike that is like no other and goes a little too extreme with some aspects
The fairings and custom frame will be sprayed pearl white, and the subframe, forks swinger will become the same color as the wheels and I am keeping the old headlight which is the acrebis vision shown below from last season

I'll post when I get more cash to slap some good parts on this thing!
