ive used barnetts before and had them last for the entire time i owned the bike, but i would go with stock if possible, and replace all the parts unless you are in a pinch or changing them out often like drag racers.

as long as ur steels aint all blue and shiny u should be able to reuse them. you can all scuff them up with sandpaper and it will give you a quick fix for a bit with the stockers if ur steals already blued and u wanna ride

oem for the win and make sure your cable is adjusted so there is a little play , a tight cable can toast a clutch in no time at all ..
and no matter what any one tells you soak the fibers in oil over night and dont beat the clutch till you have heat cycled it a bunch of times ..
