Yea those kart racers are fucking shit up for all of us. Damn motors that should be going for $400-600 are going for well over a grand just because of the market. That's why I just rebuilt my motor when I tore it down. Used motors were hard to find in a quick timely fashion for a reasonable price. There are tons of parts just seems there are a bunch of people trying to just sell the motors for kart kits at top dollar.

I doubt it, every rider i met that has spent any great deal of time would rather ride something else. The bikes are plauged with electrical issues stunt/street. Fuel pumps, recetifiers, stators. The forks suck and break free from the bases, the subframes are poop.I would not spend the money on stunt parts if someone gag me the bike.for.free

i just really dont see 636s and 636 parts suddenly becoming so hard to find everyone jumps ship to the r6..maybe in years to come..but by then the r6 will be just as old of news as the 636...i think we should stop riding 10 yr old bikes and start embracing the newer bikes more..because like everyone says...parts become rare..and the bandwagon ruined the 636 for me...yeah its real awesome watching EVERYONE ride the same fuckin bike...not very original.

and for the record..Ive stunted every "popular" stuntbike there is...f4i,954,03 and 05 636s,and the bike i had the most fun on,the most idle pull, the most nimble WAS the R6..i still dont see it becoming the new thing simply because the subframes wont handle the abuse..I rode with no bar,and never scraped anything but plastic and my subframe was perfectly straighjt after a year of abuse..but still it will wont be the next "rage"

Hopefully in 5 years stunting is big enough that somebody builds a bike taylored to our needs a little bit more... something that may be designed more for stunts than going around the track.

R6? The forks are fine, just the 05's I guess weren't as good as the 06+ R6r forks. The telescopic on most of them aren't great but they take abuse that's for sure. The subframe does suck but once a steel one is on it's a beast and no problem slamming back on it. Could always fab your own up for cheap too if you don't want to spend the money. The fuel pump problem with it coming loose in the tank is easily solved by 3 self tapping screws through the base and into the pump housing, I did that and have had a few more hard drops and it hasn't come loose again. The stators are money but the rectifiers are known to burn up when the connectors get a little dirt and the resistance will end up burning out the plug. Best solution for that is to remove the entire harness from the rectifier to the stator and put your own harness with male and female connectors in place. Use some dielectric on the connectors and the recitifers won't get dirt or air gaps or anything leading to increased resistance that will burn them up.

Not arguing or anything, just the problems you listed are easily fixed. much rather deal with those issues than stuff like trannys.

new anything is too brittle for most bikechucking rooks and IMO can only be ridden and kept together by riders that are on or above a certain level..you want a fun, durable street/lot killer???..... get a wr250x FTMFW!

maybe if people didnt SAIL their fucking bikes all the time it wouldnt be an issue..

when i rode my r6 i rode with no bar,and no cage for over a year..and it improved my skill greatly..i COULDNT drop it so i learned to ride without slamming my bike down..people have come to think if you have a bike with a cage its cool to just let it go and slam it around..I was never a fan of just letting my bike slam into the ground..so a newer brittle bike wouldnt phase me much..but the type of rider who gets a little wobbly or high or low side and just let the fucking bike fly..they wouldnt do so well with newer bikes..

and to anyone who says OH IF YOUR NOT CRASHING YOUR NOT PUSHING IT,your fucking stupid, just because YOU have to crash hard to progress doesnt mean everyone else does..

You act like you didnt have to learn stunting, it came naturally to you or something Well not everyone is so gifted, with talent or money!
So not everyone can afford to buy or maintain the latest 600cc sport bike for stunt bike...Not only does a newer bike cost more to buy initially, it requires more parts to be replaced for stunting and just cost more all around to stunt

One of my friends has 3 09 ZX6R's, and still bought a 03/04 ZX6R to be his lot beater...Dude has the money, but just doesnt want to deal with constantly fixing his 09's...Hes not the best, and hes not the worst hes just average...He doesnt just toss his bike away, but everyone fucks up every once in a while...

Let me know when 09 frames are cheap and easy to find like 636 frames...I just bought a 03/04 frame with salvage title for $280, yet we cant find one for his bike for less then $1000
