secure it somehow so it stays on the inside of the cap. thats what i did.

Your not doing something right, I have a stock cable with 7 degree vortex clamps on, 2 inch rise dcp clip tubes, on a hohey tree with 954 forks. thats a 2 1/2 inch rise with fatter forks and my cable is on the outside of the fork tube.

I HATE when that happens! Grrrrr. Always happens as I slide into a drift and I tip over. Lol. I actually cut the protruding parts off the cap and its way better.

ran my cable threw the forks and zip tied it to the frame. seem to work fine.

i found that the stock cable is actually way long if you have clipons.
mine got all nestled up on one of the fittings for the overflow on the radiator, and it wore a hole in it and pissed hot coolant everywhere!

i run DB and stock worked. just play with it and re route it. If that doesn't work... then shit. lol
