i just watched e-dubs icon bike build video on here and saw them do that.. i guess if its just gloss black sprayed on lightly it wont hurt anything

light coat wont hurt any thing just dont cake it on ..
before every thing switched to aluminum radiators all radiators were painted ..

......yeah....but an extra coat of paint WILL effect the cooling ability of the radiator. They work off of heat transfer between the fins and the air. Adding a layer of paint adds a whole new material for the heat to transfer through. It may be minimal....but it will effect it...

i was having running hot issues....took my headers off and header wrapped them, painted the radiator while it was off(light coat of spraypaint) put it all back together with fresh fluids and i think my bike ran a little hotter. dont kno for sure the exact cause but just to play it safe i will never paint my radiator again.

im new at this site but i do have knowledge on bikes. how about you just get a better one thats in good condition
