Handbrakes

I am setting up my big bike and have been told the HB is not absolutely necessary.
Everyone says the footbrake is key and that it should be mastered first...
I got a HB on my 50 and its pretty much all I use....I never use the footbrake cuz its kinda hard to reach and I wheelie on the rear pegs

So I am just wondering what everyone opinion is on that topic. I am probably going to start with stagerred therefore the footbrake is within reach....If I can save a few bucks by getting it later than that's cool...

What do you all ride with?

Furthermore I ride a R6 any suggestions for suppliers?

Save your money and learn your footbrake and in the meantime, get some opinions on handbrake set-ups so you will know what may work for you and what kind of money it will cost.

It is mandatory for your final product, but like you have posted and the poster above said, Learn and master the foot brake FIRST..... If you master that, then HB will come to you easy.

I always tell the new kids, once you run out of tricks to do with footbrake, then it's time to get a hand brake. You see so many new kids going right to hand brake and learning fairly quick, but then they hit a wall and it's so hard for them to go and learn the FB. You need to have a solid foundation to learn off of...

Yeah, learn on the footbrake 1st, i feel its essential

i would recomend that you start using the foot brake on your fiddy and continue your learning the fb on the big bike.. that is the only way to go!

also when you are looking for parts for a r6, look up c4 revolutions out of orlando. Dave cutler is the guy that you will be dealing with.. all he rides is yamer-hamers so he can help you out with alot!

Start without, spend your money on a good cage and bar

Once you get idle staggered, maybe foot in seat no throttle hand, then invest in a handbrake.

Yeah starting out I recommend no hb and master fb. I moved to the hb to quick and now I use my hb even when I should use a fb. I guess it doesn't matter but it's harder to go back to the fb then move onto the hb after master fb.

starting on my bike I use HB and FB, but use the HB make me easy for exercise I lost event control FB

now I open my HB for a while ...
after can control on FB good I must pair my HB again

I am a FB whore, i have a handbrake on my fiddy and my F4i and don't really use either of them. I have been focusing on killing the FB before moving on to my HB. Also i have been working a lot on being really smooth on the throttle and clutch to where i can feel the bike move and judge it's movement.
