i think it all comes down to mastery of the bike.
ie) whoever has the most control is best.

...and its no doubt stunters show the most control..ergo..they win.

edit: in regards to hello's comment on stunting only impressing kids...well thats not the case, but even if it was...i'm cool with that.

I'll tell you, most road racers are some of the most hard headed and ignorant people I've met. They only think racing is a challange, but yet have never tried to wheelie or stoppie in their life. And the funniest part is most are washed up wanna-be's that they only time they've been on a track was on a track day.
Ask any real racer and they will tell you stunting is just as hard, if not harder.

trying convince someone that your wheelies are important in the grand scheme of the entertainment/sport world is about as about as big of a waste of time as you can get. who gives a shit what anyone thinks. i pop wheelies cuz its fun and i dont give a shit who doesnt like it or who thinks that something else is better/harder. i do it cuz I LIKE IT not anyone else. now if other ppl enjoy what i do... awesome, but if not oh well.
