I dont have any pictures to post yet. just feeling it out on here. The material I use is the best ceramic coating on the market today that is designed for firearms, many big players are using it, S&W, Sig Sauer... Any of you that are big into guns may have heard of DURACOTE...... that is one of the worst coating for guns on the market! Its not even a gun coating! Its a Sherwin Williams 2 part Urethane called "polane", some guy has been buying it and putting his name on it and selling it as a gun coating. I use a product called Cerakote, do a search, its an awesome product!

Is it a do it yourself coating? Bake on?

I wouldn't call it a do it yourself coating, you could, but it would cost you more to get setup than to have someone do it for you. It is a bake on coating.

Right now we're just doing solid tones, I'm gonna find someone local that is good with airbrushing, you can layer different color ceramics in camo or whatever design you want.

well, you cant get every gun in stainless..... but if you have a black gun and you want it silver, there is a stainless ceramic coating. Its a silver satin finish, its pretty dope. personally I like some guns in the blued finish, but for hunters that are out in the rain, a ceramic coating is definately the way to go. I have buddies with decent shotguns that look beat to hell because they have gone hunting in the rain, their guns rusted and they had to steel wool the rust off. This coating puts an end to that. It's beyond a fancy looking coating, its functional.

I'm definitely interested in some pictures.

I don't have any guns that need coated right now, but I'm curious to compare the coating on my AR to the stuff you have. And maybe go with it the next time I build an AR.
