the data for your bike model might be incorrect in my file, maybe I have your max RPM for that bike wrong, you can change it in the form, I know the calc tool works perfect though, I used it to calc gearings on a few of my bikes, and they come out spot on.

Sooo...what is the "optimal" set-up???

First Gear, your FINAL RATIO being around 34 is the sickness, I gear all my bikes to hit that sweet spot, some people like different things, but that's where I dial in my bikes at. Basically the FINAL RATIO is the number of crank revolutions per wheel revolutions, you get all your bikes running the same final ratio, they will all feel pretty much the same in a slow idle wheelie!
I also use the tool to figure out my max speed ability in each gear as well, it's important to make sure you max RPM is correct in the form to be able to calculate this, I basically took all the information to make the bike database for this tool from service manuals and from the web.

something definately isnt right in there because it has the f4i topping out at 184 mph. actually every 600 listed is topping out way faster than it actually can.

and to whomever said something about a bike not being able to make it to redline in 6th. idk what bike ur riding or maybe your a bit overweight but ive never had any issue hitting rev limit in 6th on any of the 12 bikes ive owned....

Probably the data is not right for that bike, I'll double check the values with the service manual

final ratio to be 34!??? my r6 came out to 25 with a 15/70 and my f4i to 24 with a 15/69....... i thought the rear was overkill, but to get a final ratio of 34 i would have to have like a 90 tooth rear... did you mean 24 maybe???
