the clear is in the powder that orangs color is sprayed over a chrome base but you can powder a clear over it if you want

Aha.. thought it looked killer good! So its a transparent color over a chrome like base... Great idea!

I am still new to the whole powdercoating business, however, i have been an automotive painter for alomost 12 years now. I got rid of my booth and wil never build one again, due to having so many friends who always need stuff painted... I was too burned out to even paint my own bike... and now my bike is 99% flawless most the time! I just spray in my garage, and cut and buff everything... I hate painting!

ya i went to collage for automotive paint so i hear ya on that.

the powder is a transparent its chrome base with neon orange over the top there are so many sick colors out there its amazing gonna try to spray some samples of the glow in the dark stuff to see how that looks

2 & 3 stage are tough. the color consistancy on my wheels is kinda off. Its TSU candy orange over aluminum explosion

when we spray parts we bakes them first so when u shoot it you can pretty much see how its gonna look after bake

Is the second and third coats just hot coats or can you let it cool down? i wouldnt think the powder would get much electricity if it was already coated real well???

probably just depends on the quality of the equipment though

but we spray everthing hot even the first coat it will show your coverage so u dont have to keep globing it on help keep the powder thinner
