07-08 ZX6R Swingarm On 03-04?
#1
Has anyone done this conversion and what did you do to make it work?
I have the swingarm and everything but seems like the linkage does not
line up correctly cuz the swingarm is to far too the left. Do I have to use
an extra spacer on the chain side? If I space it over to the right to make the linkage square, will the chain still line up? Any help would be great.

theres a million threads on how to do it on stuntlife.....ill try and find one. you have to use certain spacers to align up the front with the rear sprocket....I did this to my old 636 its pretty easy

Thanks. I did a search on stuntlife but none of them say exactly how to do it. There is a few on how to do the 05-06 but the 07-08 is different.

What about an 05-06 swingarm on an 04 636? I have one sitting in my garage and it seems to be about an inch more narrow than the 04 design. I've been wanting to switch swingarms for awhile because I think that would really improve the rear suspension performance. Especially when the back tire comes down after a stoppie it won't sound like the bikes gonna fall apart. That's not the only reason, when it comes down the exhaust smashes into my brake caliper and lines and has actually loosened the banjo bolt in the middle of a show and I've had to finish off with brake fade.

the 05/06 and 07/08 swingarms fit exactly the same and either can be swapped to the 03/04 with the correct spacers. i cant remember exactly how it goes but just ask anyone whos done the 05/06 conversion its the same deal.
