f4i DB bar setup
#1
next year I plan on converting over to DB bars even though I love my current setup. Whats a good setup for the F4i? which mounts and bars?

I always liked the 1 piece pro-tapers on dirt bikes and atv's, they seemed to have the best control opposed to standard db bars that have lots of angle back towards the rider.

Another question to go along with his /\ . Do you have to get different clutch and throttle cables...
Thought about trying db bars myself..

on the f4i's you can reroute the stock cables and make it work, but its a tight stretchand not to shit on your parade but why not leave the DB's on your KX 250?clip ons/FF for life

im going to dirt bars also, but im going for the fact they are cheaper and also im am recovering from a shoulder injury and i think the wider bars would be easier on my shoulder

i'm switching because everyone that i ride with switched to them and are having a way easier time, especially with circles. sucks, I love FF, when I got them down, I will switch back.

my decision is PRO TAPER universal mounts, I have a few top clamps to sacrifice if I feel the need to switch to a different mount. My buddy has Magura bars which measured out to be the same as my other buddies Pro-Taper Contour bars, the Contour's are the CR-HIGH which has more pull back, thats where I'm lost, is the back angle good or bad for stunting? I kinda like the more straight ones myself but will the angle take some load off my wrists? anyone have any advice on this matter?

Cool.
I dont have a kx 250
I have a clamp and bars off my LTR that I replaced with trail tech fat bars and clamp.
So it would be a free switch.. even have a spare upper triple clamp to drill out

Just a thought. I might stay ff clipons.. I just cant stand stock and cant afford a set of decent ones right now.
