i really don't pay attention to length of beard too much, as long as it's a tom i'm happy...i shot one 27 pounder with a 12" beard and 1.5" spurs one year but this bird was probably the coolest one i've shot, it hung at 50 yards for litterally 30 mins before a hen coaxed him into 40 yards, he gobbled probably 30-40 times....it's was pretty cool, my dad had the same season as me so he was calling as well....he's gonna taste great :-)

lol z1r has made jackets for a long time, i tried one last year but it honestly sucked, hated the way it fit...i bitched about it and they took my input seriously and came out with the one i wear now, i absolutely love it, if i had to compare it fits like a berrik coat, their logo consists of the "eyes" like what i would wear in china, an italian based company that really has fitment down, the new z1r coats fit awesome, long arms and tight in the correct spots to keep pads from "rolling" away from your skin upon impact (i've tested this one a few times already)
