Built a couple of 636's, so this isnt my first time. I took a motor out of a mint bike a couple months back to put in my stunt bike, me and a buddy (who has rebuilt TONS of 636 motors) put a bottom end that was good with a top end that was good together. Its timed right, its got spark, its getting fuel, 120+ compression on all cylinders (a bit low, but should still run), cranks over just fine, but will start.
We are stumped. Nothing has been modified or changed, and the bike ran when I rode it home back in November. Checked all obvious sensors, crank, cam, etc (even though it wouldnt spark if those were broken). Rechecked the timing......any ideas of something we may not have checked?

Not sure bout the 03 but I has to replace the starter gear case cover on my 09 and didn't put the right bolts in properly and it actually bonded the gear and made it not start until I figured out what I did.
Fuel, flame, fuses is what I always say.. Still no luck?

that 3 things is horse shit, been told that all my life and its getting all 3 things haha. We thought timing and weve recheckd timing marks and everything. Made sure the lobes were where they were suppose to be at TDC. Fuses are all good. Its got compression, its got spark and its got gas, I just dont get it....

If it were any type of sensor it wouldnt give it spark or gas. Like I said, this isnt our first build, so neither of us looked over something like a sensor or anything.

Maybe zx6RR motor? Maybe you need the different ecu? Just a thought.

What ECU you running? What about wire harness and TBs? What year and model are they? The 04 zx6rr uses a different ECU/harness/TBs.Maybe you have the wrong ECU like posted below?

Its a 636 engine and a 636 ecu, and just to make sure I took the 636 ecu out of my running bike and put it in there to make sure. The ecu is from the motors top end. Still got nothing, we changed the engine harness to be sure it was nothing there. I dont get how we pulled all the spark plugs and made sure they were getting spark, and when we spray starting fluid in the bike it doesnt even make a sound like it wants to start either. This shit is crazy
