Riding jacket opinions (Icon)
#1
What's up everyone. Well I think it's time I finally traded in my t shirts and hoodies for a riding jacket. Looking for something to ride streets and stunt lots in. I'm probably going to go with Icon because I they support the sport and I just got a new icon helmet. My question is should I go with a leather or mesh style jacket? I'm not worried about cost. I'm stuck between the accelerant and the hooligan 2. Accelerant has leather arms and shoulders and the hooligan 2 is all mesh. I never see anyone riding with leather jackets so I'm just assuming its because they are a little more restrictive and not as breathable. Anyone have any input or reviews on these two jackets? Kind of a dumb question but I figured I would get some opinions before I dropped on one.

I think the mesh jacket I have is he hooligan. Within one riding season, almost all of the snaps broke, the zipper almost completely stopped functioning, and the zipper later physically broke. It was badass at first, but guess the quality just wasn't there. I didn't even stunt when u was using it, just commuting back and forth to work

Read the icon jacket reviews... The Zippers seem to fail. Shift avenger all the way!!!

I'm rocking the A* bionic suit. Great protection & movement.

Hooligan 2 here brotha. I have a matching full leather that I never wear. The mesh is fine for arms too. Keep the liner in and you'll stay warm in the Hooligan

Bummer that sucks to hear....hopefully their products get better in the future. I've always liked how the company sponsors and promotes freestyle streebiking/stunt riding

Even my Decay helmet I got from Icon has been falling apart. I didnt use it for stuntriding either, just commuting, and new stuff breaks on it all the time. Seriously considering not buying anything else from Icon at all. Love the art on the helmet though BTW
