Now I feel even more like a squid lol. Just like learning anything else I guess, takes time and practice. Just trying to void out anything that isn't helping me.

Well I tried 3rd gear SS today and it was way smoother. Gonna work on that more tomorrow and if it starts getting choppy I'm going with the throttle tube ideas.

on the 900 i found big gearing too jerky. mild gearing is better for big bikes imo. -1 +3 was perfect

Yeah....honestly....learning lot stunts on a liter bike will be difficult. I didn't have much of an issue because I had already learned most(not all, by any means) of the basic lot tricks, and was actually bored w/ my 600. Going to the liter-bike for a season put some spice back in the action for me. Now I'm back on the 600 in the lots, because I didn't learn anything new on the 954.....and started to get bored again.

2nd and 3rd gear are very friendly on the liter-bikes.

I figured that was my main problem, once I started 3rd and snatched to balance it was so much more controllable and smooth.

Lol yes, worked on streets today with my buddies. After a couple tries had some smooth 1/4 mile plus SS and was very happy with it in 3rd gear. I may try fourth because the engine braking is still crazy. Just trying to find the sweet spot.

i started on a srad after i blew the motor, i jumped to a 02 gsxr 1000 squid-ed it up on the highway every day but learned foot brake and staggered on it pretty fast. Was always fun to be able to cruise at 55-65 going with the flow of traffic 1 up with out feeling like i was killing the motor opposed to a 60T 600cc in 2 - 3rd gear listening to it screammm
