Handbrake on quad
#1
Anyone run a handbrake on the quad? which one do you use? an is it a junction valve or dual caliper set-up?

Was thinking about doin some work to this other quad for the hell of it being as it just sits around not getting used

I have an R1 master hooked to a Honda F4I rear master with junction valve in it. works like a champ, never seen a real dual caliper on a quad but someones prolly done it. mine works sweet tho and i can do coasters all day long from 5th gear with plenty of brake to control it.

Ive seen a bunch of quads stunted and all had just junction valve to it. if its a Honda quad the f4i rear master bolts right up to it I believe. I had a kawi rear master as a junction on my r6, holes didn't line up but I just made a small bracket to bolt the master 2 and drilled 2 holes for stock location so it can pretty much be done with any kind of rear master on most quads anyways. Kyds DVX400 had the same kawi rear master bolted to a small homemade plate also and always worked good for him too.

Here's a few pics of mine. Hard to see the junction valve in the pic but you can kinda see it. Like stubbz, I got an r1 Brembo master on mine also. So damn fun!!!
