What do i do now?

Rode for about 5 min and was just warming up clutching up sitdowns and foot in the hole. Went to clutch up from a stop and Pop that chain snaps i pull clutch and shut off bike go to my truck walk back and there a puddle of oil and antifreeze. just got home and took sprocket cover off and this is what i found. The chain hit the bottom of overflow tank and ripped tab off so tht explains the antifreeze. I have to replace the whole motor right?

Can't tell from the pics if it broke the motor bad enough to have to replace it.

If you just broke the part that holds the gear cover on you may just need a new chain.

if it didn't bust a huge hole in it you could possibly have it welded or use JBweld. buddy did it to 2 R6 engines. Jbwelded them both and they never leaked after so it works. Theres not much pressure inside the crankcase so itll be fine.

Cracked the engine case in a spot where jb weld or aluminum welding wont work. Need new motor

that sucks man. how does a chain snap. is it 520? did you have a staked master link?

I once put a 929 motor case back together piece by piece with industrial epoxy and it was busted into 50+ pieces and missing pieces I filled in with cardboard haha

Ya Im pretty annoyed with the whole ordeal, Im not sure I just bought the bike not even a month ago i think its a 525 though it snapped at the masterlink. Idk what u mean by staked but If u mean wire rapped around it to keep clip on then ya it was staked. You would think the chain would snap and just fly out ya know, not get all coiled up like that. Right when i felt chain snap i turned the bike off its not like i kept it in gear. And i was at a dead stop to begin with when i was cutching it up, I wasn't going fast.

Its cracked right above the rear motor mount bolt al the way through the bolt. I don't think itl work. U didn't mention how long that 929 motor lasted lol? Either way im guna try to fix it with jbweld but i don't think itl work. maybe im underestimating the jb power. I just found a good running motor localy for the low so i might just say fuck it and fix it the right way, im tired of having jerry rigged bikes that leak oil and shit man. My last 636 I had a quarter shoved in the head cuz it had a huge crack and I filled it with jb and it held for a couple weeks then started leaking again. I don't want to nigger rig it put it all back together and then 2 weeks down the road have to take it all apart and fix it again.
