removing wheel bearings?

Oh side question, since people are helping me. Whats a good way to remove f4i tire valve? I never had to do that before but I assume I need to remove that as well for powdercoating.

sweet man, post up thoughts when you try it out, mine should be on my table at home by now so ill check it out when i get off work. n yeah any tire shop will have a valve stem to replace yours just cut it or grab it with pliers and yank it out.

I got a bearing puller from good ole harbor freight. I like how it works and ive pulled all the bearings outta my bike with it. Just decided to read this because im about 10 min away from doing some myself, seeing how others do it

the only thing i was concerned with on the normal blind hole bearing pullers is the center sleeve is always really tight to the bearings and the puller has a small lip on the outside to catch the bearing so theres no gap in between for that lip to grab onto. johnnyp said hes done um with both and they do ok, he felt the mition pro kit worked a bit better so thats what i went for to invest into. my buddies runnin a powdershop he just started so im gonna remove bearings for other guys to get wheels done, it'll pay for my tool and help them out i just dont wanna damage anyones sleeves from the other puller, my own bike i wouldnt care really id just smooth out whatever damage or digs it put in it. may end up with both styles eventually tho cuz im sure there good to have.

Did a set of wheels earlier and works fine. Just gotta find the hair line gap. Idk if its recommended for the puller that I have too, but from what ive heard with the one you posted is that your not suppose to reuse them after, but thats probably recommended for both.

So I got the tool today and used it when I got home. This thing is awesome! Very easy and straight forward. Put it in one end, bang it out through the other. I probably got both wheels done in under 5 minutes. Definitely worth the money! :D

Thanks for sharing the info on it Stubbz! Tomorrow I am taking my rims to the powdercoater! Candy Blue! Woo! :D

yeah i wouldnt think either one would be good to reuse them as ur never supposed to really. with a little heat and if they come out easy tho and spin free after with no catching spots id try it, you'll usually know when one is going bad it wont just blow apart youd start to get a shake or something. i've only ever seen one come apart and it was on the rear of a 636 but a girl rider so she didnt know any difference untill we stopped to a gas station and the bearing was basically gone. those were fresh powdered rims to so im thinkin they beat them out by hand and reused them after.

awesome man, got mine in last night to, gonna try it out in next cpl days but sounds easy enough for sure. need to find a case or something for mine cuz they didnt come with the blow molded case but for 45 shipped i cant really complain.

that motion pro tool works tits, took my buddies out the other day from his 09 kawi and they came out super easy with a little heat to the wheel, hes gonna reuse his they came out real easy and are smooth as they were in um.

Kawi's have a great lip in there to grab on. I like that about them for sure. I used snap on bearing puller to pop out my GSXR ones and it just trashes them due to the sleeve not having any room to move around
