i took the resi off my supermoto one day and just stuffed a bolt into the resi hose and clamped it off and the brake still had tons of pressure. "Cool" i though to myself, and away i went out on my bike. did a few sitdowns and was feeling good. handbrake still had lots of pressure so i said fuck it, do a rear peg'r. Went for a good 1/4" and then i dipped it back a lil to far and when i grabed my brake....squiiiiiiiish nothing "Fuck" next thing i know im superman'ing down the street on my stomach whatching my bike ghostride away in a wheelie then turn around wheelie backwars for a second and then packcake straight onto the handlebars and into the a ditch... moral of the story You need a resivoir lol.

Since most racers don't use rear brake at all or very little, and bleed brakes often, its not a problem for them...We however use rear brake alot and that where the problem comes from

Sic innovations came out with a triple clamp that had a build in res with no diaphragm, I posted in their thread that it was going to cause problems. Everyone basically said I was an idiot and didnt know what I was talking about...Then shortly after they changed the design to one that had brembo res with diaphragm because I was 100% correct, eventually without a diaphragm you will have problems

I actually thought the cap was some sort of vented/check valve thing, not just a plain plug. I can definitely see what you're saying. I'm thinking about working some sort of reservoir mount into the heel guard right now... I'll have plenty of time to figure it out since I just sprained my wrist so bad snowboarding

Back when I had flipped clipons, it didn't seem like there was any space to do it this way... It just didn't seem to work with my hands. Maybe I just didn't have it setup right because I had never used a handbrake before. Then I dropped the bike and the lever broke that little disk in the master so I decided to chop it. When I tried putting the levers how they are now once I got dirt bars, the HB lever was like one finger width too short to work so I had to get a new one. This ASV is super nice though so I ain't complaining. Can't wait to heal up so I can try it out!

i had a feeling it wasnt going to work, but it was holding pressure pretty good so i gave it a shot...not a good idea lol. i was using a dual caliper set up so it was in the hand brake only, i was on the rear pegs so no chance for footbrake option. Wasnt going to quick 35ish probably. knew i was screwed so i rode it back to the roundbar holding the brake to the bar hoping it'd slow it down to make it not as shitty as a wreck. Hit the bar n scraped for a bit and stepped off. running didnt work out so well but i put in a hell of an effort lol. I now know a resi is crucial for proper performance lol.

I have seen a kid do that with his handbrake.. Kid had it just like you do in the pic and I thought it was nuts! I prefer the stunterx resi kit.. You could also make the same thing at home

my brembo lever is to damn short ....i might go this way..my damn fingers keep hitting each other
