50 cal BMG? no sir you cannot. from .22 long rifle to 500S&W. the .458 is really popular but i would get any of the large calibers unless you plan on reloading you're own ammunition. if its your first ar go with the .223. i have built a 9mm ar .45acp, .223, 6.8spc, 6.5grendal, and the 50beawulf. all great and all used the same lower. if you plan on hunting big game you should invest in a ar10. i know truly everything there is to know about ar's hence my last user name ARslinger

I didnt think there was a 50bmg upper either but there is, the left side of the upper is a mag well on the bolt action uppers. I forgot about red jacket having one as well...

but you are only using the lower as a trigger. you cant just swap out uppers and fire.

id LOVE to build an AR57 but the ammo is just not in my budget right now, especially with how much other ammo costs have risen.

My friend offered to sell me his smith and weason m&p 15 sport for 1100 bucks. He is giving me 500 rounds a forward grip two magazines a 3 point sling and a case. Does it sound like a good deal?
