another thing i had goin on that i forgot to mention is that my stator wasnt charging the battery, if i bypassed the yellow and black ground wire and ran it straight to the battery ground it worked like a champ, i think i may just need to get a wiring harness but really dont know what would cause all the grounds to melt down like they did ???

that is what i was going to say. sounds like it needs a good tune up. i change my plugs 2-3 times a year as cheap as they are its worth it in my opinion.

Ya i checked the ground and its bouncing all over the place, i bought a main harness today, what im afraid of is hookin the new one up and this happening again, i was told it could be my rectifier but idk how to check that

checking the reg is easy, but doesnt sound like a charging problem. ohm out each leg, shouldnt have a reading with the leads reversed. check there is no short to ground from the stator as well

ya, im wondering if since the grounds were all melted that was causing my charging issue! i bought a new harness yesterday so that should be arriving saturday or monday at the latest

just so everyone know i changed out the wiring harness and it worked like a champ!!! thanks to everyone for the help!!!
