Well I found a spot in du quoin but its iffy.. I live in Pinckneyville again... Looking to move to the fair view heights/ o Fallon area this spring!! Riding in St. Louis is where's its at.. I'd rather haul my bike up there then try to ride around here. Cops just don't get it and there isn't really any good lots that are worth the trouble anyways

one time I was at the lot I mentioned above and when I got there there was a smokey at the end of the street, so I asked him if he cared if I practiced riding there before unloading and he said it was alright until someone complains, and not to be caught riding it on the street (even tho my bikes legit)

Got my rear wheel yesterday cleaned it all up today hoping to get spacers and shock/linkage today or tomorrow. Still gotta order bearings and a tire so I still got awhile yet before I can actually do the swap.

Update: I have installed all the bearings into the newer swingarm and i am going to go ahead and run it. I got a mint grey 06 wheel on the way that i will be putting bearings in. All i need now is the shock and linkage.. I have an old badly bent 06 wheel i want to salvage the bearings out of because they look and roll like they are pretty new plus they are free! haha

I installed an 06 upper triple clamp today that i plan to cut the key hole off of.. Really only did it for aesthetic reasons.. the 03/04 one is black and all the hard parts on my bike are silver so i just thought this matched better. I plan on paint matching my swingarm to the factory color of the frame/swingarm since i have plenty of access to paint and everything being as i am an auto collision tech by trade.

I will install the whole 07/08 rear when i receive my wheel and shock/linkage. So there should be more progress soon.

What did you do about the different diameter stem for the triple? Looks like you are using the 03/04 stem and nut, but the hole in the 05/06 triple is larger...

Your dead correct... It was a little un-centered in the hole but I didn't think it would hurt anything .... I could be wrong... I haven't rode it like that yet .. Does the stem bolt have to be flush in the hole of the clamp?

That will cause damage eventually, as there is a lot of pressure put on that when you use the brakes or come down from a wheelie...I would make an adapter collar on a lathe if I was you.....Hohey does that for his triples so the same triple for 03/04 can be used on 05-08 by simply using or not using the collar

Leave the ignition hole in the triple and mount a single reservoir in it with a T running to both master cylinders.
