Headlight scratched

So the previous owner of my bike tried to buff the headlight w/ sand paper and it was no where near fine enough, how about 1/3rd of my headlight is dull and rough. Any recommendations on a fix, either wet sand w/ what grit to try and bring it back to clear or thought about cutting the lense off and mounting some fog lights int he housing so I can get a FF setup complete.

Bike has to go to inspection for a bonded title and we the 1st annual ride down here so Id like to get it cleaned up. any input is appreciated

Go to an auto store and ask them for a headlight restoration kit. Its 15$ and will make it look nice and new. Worked on my car. Get the meguires not the cheap stuff.
