CA gun laws
#1
I'm headed out to LA tomorrow with the wifey and was wondering what the rules are. I carry concealed here all the time but I heard that you cant do that in CA.

I heard that you have to have the gun and ammo in separate locked boxes and can't have a mag with more than 10 round capacity, so the XD45 is out. Is this true? If so, I don't see the point in even bringing a gun with me.

Yes.....everything you said was true. We do have concealed carry permits in Cali, but I'm not sure if yours will swap states?

I don't have a CCW (yet), AZ doesn't require it to conceal anymore

If I remember correctly. You are allowed to open carry as long as the magazine is not in the weapon and is on the oppsite side of the body. And nothing over 10 round capacity. Consealed carry is out of the question.

I keep a glock 27 .40 cal with me in my car. But it stays there most of the time. Never had any problems.

I tried to look it up, and it looks like there is a law that passed this year banning the open carry that I said in my last post. Just trying to get you the correct information.

I dont open carry anyways, if I cant conceal it I wont carry it. But I dont plan on walking around with the gun, its more for the road there and while I'm driving around there. If it has to be in the trunk then there is no point in taking it really.

the way I look at it.....if I'm carrying concealed......no one is going to know I have a gun.......shit hits the fan and I NEED a gun I'll be happy I have it and worry about the details later.....

I didnt end up taking anything with me, not worth the hassle. By the way, LA is a shithole and should float off into the ocean. Except maybe Malibu. If I would have known the streets are so small and there is no reasonable parking, I wouldn't have taken the damn pig of a truck.
