It can take a bit of explanation, but AL tubing, with the correct wall thickness...is actually more rigid, and stronger, than solid bar stock. Short explanation.....more surface area. Granted....solid AL bar stock will bend and tweak longer, before breaking, than this tubing I speak of. But who wants a frame that's all tweaked out......but hey.....it still works!

Yea, I'll have to talk to him while I'm sober... I can't remember what all he was saying. But the just of it is wanting to make strong parts with lighter material.

Ryan, same with the brackets man I'm just trying to get some stunt part wish list put together and try some stuff made out of something other than steel. So gotta pick his brain and the possibility along with how realistic it would be to do some billet pieces.

R6 subframes.......my buddy priced just the neck piece to make an aluminum gram it was like $1200 hahha

So these R6 subs. I know billet would make things crazy expensive and Al tubing might not be the best. But what about chromoly? And square like the ATC or round?

Cutty has an AL R6 subframe made out of tubing and a few billet pieces welded in here and there. Shit's stout as fuck.

6160-T6 or what? This guy loves working with 6160 T6 billet. Said he doesn't really want to mess with 7075.

i would say the companies that make handbrake brackets in US have dropped the ball. Thats the market i would hit.
