\r\n \r\n It doesnt work because glass beads are round, sure it will clean away dirt, paint and mild rust. The beads are not aggressive enough to remove any of the surface material leaving you with virgin substrate. On aluminum they fold the surface metal over into itself as if you were working pizza dough. Any soils on the metal have now been pushed down into metal such as oil and whats gonna happen to that oil when you apply heat to it? Again......... another reason why HACK coaters double coat shit. The 2nd coat hides it all. Using glass beads is cheap and most cabinets handle them with ease. To use a better media like Aluminum Oxide you need a blast gun that can handle the abuse and you need 2-3 times the CFM of air to be efficient since its a heavier material. When you are working in your garage and all you have is a 40gal Craftsman air compressor, you have no choice but to do it the wrong way.\r\n
