Off-Duty Cop Crashes Motorcycle Into Little Girl Then Kills Her Enraged Dad

Saturday night, an off-duty police officer was riding down the street on his motorcycle when apparently a little girl darted out from nowhere in front of his bike. He intentionally "ditched" the bike in an effort to avoid hitting her, but it was too late. His bike slammed into the 4-year-old, as well as her 18-year-old cousin, who had run out to help her. The cop, despite being injured himself, reportedly began trying to help the little girl. This is when the girl's father ran out of a nearby restaurant, saw the scene, and began taking out his fury on the man who had hurt his daughter.

Reportedly the man identified himself as a police officer, but the infuriated man just kept pummeling. Then the 18-year-old cousin joined in. About to lose consciousness from the beating, the cop pulled out his gun and fired, killing the father.

The little girl is recovering from her injuries, as is the police officer. The tragedy is being investigated.

If that was anyone else he would be sent to jail... a gun in a fist fight, losing control of a vehicle etc...

the cop was trying to help the little girl after and the dad went on the beat him? if it'd been my kid i would have been more intent on making sure my kid is fine first, then confronting the driver. and if i see that the driver isn't someone malicious and is actually trying to help, i'll be pissed, but i won't be trying to kill the guy, especially if my kid is laying on the side of the road. i'll be at my kid's side first.

+1 cop ditched his bike to try and avoid a 4 YEAR OLD that came out of nowhere....father came out of restaurant and started beating the cop who was trying to HELP the little girl?!?!? And you want us to hate on the cop?? Why the fuck was your 4 year old playing in the street while you're in a restaurant?? Bad parenting.....cop was not at fault in my opinion

Man thats sad all the way around. If anyone was in the wrong it was the parent of the child for letting the child out of his sight. I'm sure if the officer was getting beat pretty bad, I don't think he would take in consideration "aim for the leg."

Really? Sent to jail for what? Please explain how the cop is at fault for a child running out in the road in front of him, causing him to have to lay his bike down to avoid hitting her. I'd love to hear how he's a "fucking cop" as he was trying to help the child, despite his own injuries. Please tell us all how the father was right to go beat the cop for his own bad parenting. Do you know why people carry guns? For self defense against morons like this "father" who decided it was more worthwhile to beat a man who was at no fault in this situation, than to help his own daughter.
