08 WR250X Stunt Build
#1
I came across a nice WR250x a friend was parting with and decided to turn it into a stunt bike.

So far I have:
49 tooth rear sprocket
12 Bar
50 Stunt Rear Pegs
50 Stunt Street Foot pegs
Custom Two Brothers CBR600RR Under Tail Exhaust
(New tires hiding under the table until its all done)

On the way:
Rear Handbrake Kit with Magura 13MM
Righteous Stunt Clutch

I Still Need:
Front and Rear Axl Sliders
Higher Handlebars - Need suggestions? what do you guys like on the moto stunt bikes?
less obnoxious handguards to protect the rear handbrake lever... the one part I really really don't want to snap into pieces
Anything I might have missed?

Started at 4500 Miles...

12Bar

12 Bar Installation

CBR600RR Can:

Had to make a bracket that mounted in between the 12 bar and subframe to hold the weight of the exhaust can

_/ \_ The Bracket looked like that and worked very nice...

Then I cut the stock muffler off the pipe, cut the CBR mid pipe to fit under the seat, and welded a small pipe in between the 2

I am very Proud of it, It came out way better then I thought it would

50 Stunt showed up just in time

It is getting close to my first finalized Mark I plan.
I would love to hear about handlebars and rear tire pressure from the pros.
Also what do you guys think? I am open to constructive criticism.

Thanks ~Joe

p.s. this bike build was inspired by Brandon L of PA!
I cant take any credit for the under tail exhaust...

shoulda threw this into the motards and quad section, thats where most of the motard riders look for threads. looks great overall, there a fun bike i just sold mine that was completely setup, mine had about 8gs worth of shit on it. great for a lot bike, power gets boring for streets but they will teach you a lot in a short period of time for sure. i wouldnt go with any higher bars, im not sure why youd want to. i put fat bar clamps on mine and reed/henry pro taper bars and mine was great could jump to 50/50 and pull threw no prob

tire pressures you should be fine running mid 20's around like 24 is good overall for the stock tires for circles. anything high in the 30's and 40's they may not want to lean in and stay there. i ran 35-40 last year with a kenda tire but once i went back to stock i ran about 24-25 and mine was perfect for everything except drifting, i could drift it but any let off would make it grab fast as shit.

Stubbz63 thanks so much, I don't plan to drift or do any kind of burnouts mainly because places for me to "practice" are kinda limited. I dont want to leave tire marks in someones lot one weekend and give them a reason to involve the law. I just want to learn more advanced wheelie combos as safely as possible. Most people that see me on the street in NJ look at me like why are you riding that thing? isnt that illegal? I dont ride around town like an ass either just one more thing for these morons to get the law involved.

I will take your advise and continue to practice with the bars I have now.

When you ride slow circle combos do you use 2nd gear at all with a 49+ rear sprocket?
My 49 setup seems to be very jerky/touchy in the slow "idle" wheelies.
I have a honda idle cable but havent installed it yet, is that what im missing to smooth out 1st gear slow stuff?

I wish I could pay you and take lessons, form good habits from the get instead of imitating & improvising what other pros do.
Thanks ~joe

1st gear is all you need in the parking lot for circles and mostly everything else unless your doing pretty fast straightline combos. i couldnt n wouldnt even stunt mine without the idle cable, the engine break is friggen rediculous, that was first thing i did cuz i didnt even wanna ride my bike on 2 wheels without it it was that bad. crank the idle n have at it. use the throttle in circles and youl learn um fast. look where ya want to go and put the bike where you want it not where it wants to go. the rest is practice. get an rsc stunt clutch and a good magura 13mm master and 50stunt dcb and youll be set. hb on bottom clutch on top one finger for each thats the best habit you can learn right off the bat.

oh and tighten every suspension adjustment on the front to its max, as well as the back or very close to it. your best off getting the eibach spring for the rear it will help the bouncing a lot for circle combos

all you need now is stubbz ss plate custom made just for the wr if you dont got one you are foolish. how does that two brothers exaust sound???

+1 SS Plate is a must, i only have one left and its the one that i had cut my a lazer at work so its perfect. the 2 holes in it were rounded out some but if its lined up right and tightened up stiff with the bolts i bet itd never move. the original i made for my bike and rode with for 2 years was the same way and it never budged.

his 2bros should sound like Kyd's maybe just a little more open and louder if anything cuz its for a 600rr. thats what you need to do to yours if you keep it for another season of lot learning, do the undertail it looks so much better.
