f4i no prime or spark???? help!

\r\n \r\n That sounds right on the fuel pump it only gets power for a sec then should drop off. Check your grounds under the tank by the pump & there should be like three green wires that are ground from the harness on the bar that crosses near where the back of the tank bolts down at. Just a few thoughts? Like a said if you have a buddy with a f4i it will save you some money & start swappin relays & parts out to check.\r\n

\r\n \r\n bad or corroded kill switch; providing everthingthing else(ie. kickstand switch, tip sensor jump. etc.) is done correctly\r\n

\r\n Yeah sometimes the wires will come un solderd in the kill switch, that has happen to me as well\r\n

\r\n \r\n I swapped the ecu and it still.doing the same. Are those the only grounds on the wiring under the tank?\r\n

\r\n \r\n Must be. The thing that made me think it wasn\'t the ignition was that I bought the ignition and gas cap from a guy that claimed it was from a running bike he parted out. I bought this f4i as a rolling chassis and put a new motor and harness in it. She\'s alive now and runs perfect!\r\n

\r\n \r\n I had this same problem with my F4i, i was running is SF and had the tip sensor bipassed. I found that for some reason i had to reconnect the healight wire harness and reset the clutch safety switch. I plugged the harness in heard the relay snap, removed the harness and boom it fired right up...still cant really figure it out but who cares...it worked

Ive been building a 01 f4i for a little while and for some reason im stumped on why it wont fire. The bike will turn over but the pump will not prime. but i can jump the pump and it works so I know thats good. also dont think im getting spark. I have not takin any plugs out to look but I sprayed started fluid in the intake with no firing popping or anything.
FI light is on!!!!???? things ive done and checked clean air mod (left plug on harness taped up) kickstand mod killswitch does work neutral switch works TIP OVER sensor is gone but i connected the green/red wires together and got rid of the rest of the headlight harness Checked relays Pink ignition wire has about 6.1v put my ecu in a friends 05 f4i and it primed cranked and ran like normal any grounds on the bike i might be missing besides the 3 under the tank? thanks fr your time everyone | |
