Someone tell me if I can go higher or lower on the amperage of the switch without problems! 30 amp switch is so fucking hard to find.

You can go higher without problems, 30A is the current which is has to hold. If you go lower, it can start to heat up and melt

idk... i wouldnt go higher than what its suppose to be at. Thats the whole point of having the fuse rated at a certain amperage, so it will blow out if it goes above 30 amps...

K so figured it out after a little searching. You can go higher amperage on the switch. DONT GO LOWER! To explain:

Lets say you have a 30amp fuse with a switch rated at 25amps. So lets say the circuit goes over 30amps. Instead of the fuse blowing, the switch would blow because its rated much lower. The switch would actually fry at 25.1amps.

Now lets say you have a 30amp fuse with a switch rated at 35 amps. If the circuit overloads and goes to 30.1amps. Now the fuse would blow, and the switch would still be good.

Higher amp rating on the switch good. Lower amp rating on the switch bad.

can you wire this straight inline in the pink wire or does this have to have a toggle??? Im getting like 12.5v at the pink wire and at the ecu. my bike wont prime or spark so hopefuly this will help

If youre getting 12.5v at the pink wire then it means the resistor/diode in the ignition went bad. The most you should get at the pink wire is 9v. This is a built in security feature to prevent someone from cutting the harness and hotwiring the bike to start. It needs to have a resistor and diode and some form of on/off switch or button

ok just making sure i couldnt still use the ignition as a on/off source. that seems like the problem thats killing my pump and possible spark!?

guess thats what ill have todo. what voltage does your pink wire have before the diode?? if the diode is out in the ignition it should work as a switch now if im thinking right
