Yo man! Keen to have some1 on pretty much the exact same level to progress with!
Definitely cut your footage more to make it shorter and probably move the camera closer to where the wheelies are happening.
You have one sweet ass piece of road right there! I found that once i started trying to roll the stoppies, i have this stupid habit of stabbing the front brakes to get it up, and then letting go completely and stabbing it again, which makes the front slide. Might be a good idea to take a broom to the spot to clean a section, thats what i do. Lots of loose sand on my spot. U were definitely looking alot better at the end there, carrying the wheelie for a while, better than what i've managed so far.
I'm not so sure about that learn going fast advice, seems like a quick way to get fucked up to me if u don't have foot brake down yet. Definitely best to learn footbrake on a dirtbike or mini bike 1st.
How often do u get to practice? Might be a good idea to take some mates with u just incase u break yourself and u need some help, plus u won't get bored so easy. Also cool to have a camera wo/man to get better angles

Yeah, for sure! You gotta get good fast, so I can watch your videos and keep pushing myself! No excuses "Well, they've all been doing it for YEARS..."

I'm going to try messing with camera placement to see if I can get a better angle... It's kind of hard to tell with a GoPro until you watch the vid and it everything is a tiny dot

The spot is within spitting distance of my house so I can get out as often as I have time. I'm hoping to get out later today. I'm thinking of renting one of those tow behind blower things to clear off some of the rocks. It's like large sand or tiny gravel or something but just riding around my shoes were filling up with it from the tires flinging it up I guess...

I'm definitely going to try and learn slow stuff as well as I can. I have to choose between a 50 and 55 tooth rear, but after that, I think it will be much easier to clutch up going slower... and if I can get past giving it more gas! I think I have FB down pretty good on my YZ, but it's at such a different angle on this bike it kind of throws me off. Seat time...

lol i'll do my best. U can try zoom it in on the editing software like i did in my vid to show whats happening a bit better.
U are so damn lucky u have a spot near your house! I gotta borrow my fathers truck everytime :/ I used to take my pitbike down to the local mall parking lot that is close though at night, will again when it's fixed.
I don't even know what footbrake is like on a streetbike yet :/ but it definitely seems a lot lower, since the riding position is so different. Shouldn't be too hard to get used to
For sure man, give it a couple weeks and we should have idle down hopefully! Too keen for that shit

Got to ride again on Sunday. I think I'm getting pretty close! Still lots of low ones, but I was really trying to focus on using the rear brake to stop them instead of just letting off the throttle. After about 45 minutes of practice I was starting to get some good ones. I rolled one for a good 20 feet before tapping the brake and putting it down. On video it still looked a little low for BP, but it felt like I was there!

I also tried some other "tricks", too... I tried standing straight up on the pegs for the first time. Pretty easy I know, but it looks cool If I take my hands off the bars at anything lower than about 15mph, it starts wobbling all over the place... I guess I need a dampener if I want to do it really slowly. Other than that it's real easy, but the bike wants to pull to the left pretty bad. I think something may be tweaked.

I still can't really do stoppies, but I only tried one or two. And I still can't keep the front from washing out when I try to do rolling burnouts but again I was mostly focusing on wheelies. Locking the rear, especially with some sand on the road, I got some good 90+ degree slides when turning around. Cake for most, but it makes me feel like a badass

I still need to chop the film up some, I got a much better angle this time but it still might put you to sleep I also ordered up a new sprocket and chain setup from Zeus_R6's shop today. It was a really good deal and he's a great guy, I'll definitely be doing more business there! Got one of those speedo healer things to make sure I don't break any laws or anything, too

try not to pull up so hard. It'll make you come up crooked and fuck the balance up and all that fun stuff. Just rev a lil higher and pop the clutch and it'll stand up on its own, trust me. What's ur idle set at? Ur doin good tho, and you look like ur fairly comfortable on the bike. Keep it it up bud

Thanks, I'll try that next time. I think I had idle around 3500 with the clutch pulled. I think it may be a little low still?

Speaking of that, I've been starting, shifting and then turning up idle. What do I need to do to the bike to get it to start in gear with the clutch pulled?

search "nuetral mod" on here and it'll have thread on exactly how to do it. I started learnin with my idle set at 4500 - almost 5K cuz it helps with learnin fb and also, it's chuggin along nice and smooth and helps with idle once you get it up there.
