What exactly is the problem you were having to make you pull apart your tranny to start checking things out?

i recently put in a new 03 636 motor and occasionally when i clutch it up, initiate a drift, or even just get hard on the throttle i will hear a "skipping" noise and no the power to the back wheel hesitates. I have zero experience with the transmission and i had a buddy come help me swap out the shift drum and shift forks, and also i replaced the clutch and nothing has changed.

When we had the tranny apart (like i said though i have zero experience...) there was NO visible damage. no flakes in the oil or anything. The gears looked fine to me...

I was hoping for more of a how to step by step thing. But yeah I already read the manual a few times... I just needa tear it down n spend some money on some new parts.

Generally if ur having tranny problems ur not gonna lose power u will get to a high rpm and because of the gears being rounded off it comes out of gear and goes to neutral........what u just described sounds to me how people describe clutches when they are going bad

The reason why I said how people describe to me about the clutches is because I have never had any go out on me

You're not alone in saying that, i had a couple people telling me it was the clutch. I just replaced it though and now im 99% sure that its first gear going out cause it got worse and worse and tonight now it falls out of first and goes into neutral 4/5 times during a clutch up

FUN FACT: This bad tranny is in the motor i just bought from curtis in KC who promised it to austin but then sold it to me... looks like he dodged a bullet and i caught it lol

Its my fault though, it was from an insurance auction so i took the risk
