so im new to stunting, i had a f4i, practiced with it for about a month with a 54 tooth on it. then busted my ass bad and broke my ankle. since im out of work for a month due to injury i had to get rid of the bike to pay for rent, car payment, bills, ect. i regret it to this day but things had to get taken car of..
so now im back to bike shopping. came across a 2003 636 (heard these are the best year) thing is clean. bike has a vortex +2 sprocket in the rear. im really thinking about going to the darkiside, even though i told myself i wont ride anything but a f4i.
so reading bout the differences bout the 2 bikes and it seems like the f4is take more of a beating? ive dropped my f4i a lot while learning and i do agree they are a tank, but are the kawi frames really that fragile? i plan on getting an impaktech cage for it. i love their cages for the 636. prob learn on the +2 sprocket catching idle (cuz the 54 i was taking a beating on with my f4i).
good idea? or should i hold out for a f4i?

i started on a 636 and i loved it bro. f4i's are bulletproof as some would say but they all eventually upgrade to a 636 and stay put so i would get it...and start saving for frame bracing or a steel half frame down the road

Sounds like the beating you were taking had nothing to do with what size sprocket you had on your bike.

lol I learned to lot ride on a 60 tooth.....its not the size of the sprocket, its part of learning. You gonna crash alot trying to catch idle, and im not trying to put you down but clutch up on the street is alot different then idle in the lot when it comes to bp and everything else.
Id say get a f4i, sounds like your still at that learning curve, but if you have the money then get you a 636 and reinforce it or get a steel frame if your gonna learn on it.

and ask ANY person here. If their budget allowed for them to get a 636 and pay to brace the frame or get a steel 1..how many would still buy an f4i????
ppl get the f4i because for the price and durability..it makes sense.

My budget allows...and I would still prefer my f4I over a kawi....and so would a lot of otjer honda riders...honestly bro I don't think you can make that decision from reading...it your own preference ...which you don't have because you haven't stunted one....I sold a fully set up 03 636 to get an f4I because I felt super crammed...I have so much room to move around and am way more comfortable on my honda...most guys over 6'2ish would prefer an f4I....I'm not going to do this anymore....636's are good looking nice stunters...yes...but not everyone with an f4I is going to trade theirs in for one

Dude you have never spent any time on a f4i. Let alone enough time on any bike at balance point, in front of balance point, in a circle, on the front wheel, shit hardly on two wheels to have a god damn opinion like you state ignorantly in all these threadss.
Lots of dudes had 636s and went back f4i. Some went r6. I rode a kawi and an r6 with in the last month all set up right and you know what the main difference was? Space and weight. F4i is a tad heavier but it's longer, and I don't have a vagina so I don't mind lifting a little more weight.
