I've never ridden with dirt tires, so I can't comment on that, but I can roll pretty good fiddy stoppies and 95% of it is how you use your body weight. I do a small bounce-like thing a split second before grabbing a handful of brake, then throw my weight forward. You should also grip the bike with your knees. Also, I stay at the back of my seat and keep my arms straight, unlike some guys I've seen. (I've got a couple pics, if they'd help)
Since the brakes aren't super strong (I'm on a stock setup), it's crucial that you get the tail high and keep it there with small adjustments. Once the tail drops, you aren't really going to have enough braking power to get it back up high enough. But, because of this, 90% of the times I've flipped a stoppie on my fiddy has been immediately off the pick up (worst time to do it, ugh). I've heard some people say that disc brakes are actually TOO strong and touchy for good stoppies.
Wow, long post about fiddy stoppies lol

It's a lot like stoppies on a full sized bike, you gotta look where you wanna go. That second pic is actually the end of the stoppie and the tail is on the way down, which is why I'm looking down more in it.
Lol thanks. It's actually the same bike, just pre and post rebuild. I've been considering selling it, since I barely ever ride it anymore. If you weren't WAAAAAAAY far away, I'd say you should buy it lol
