i always take my laptop when i go to the garage and have the manual opened - otherwise i wouldnt have known about the torque values

Sounds to me like the clean air mod was done incorrectly, when done correctly it will actually create a vacuum in the crankcase, not pressure.

This is a guess but it sounds like maybe some one didn't unplug the electric valve when they did the clean air mod, the valve needs to be unplugged to stay open or the system will build pressure.

I did the Clean air mod in 2007 and never unplugged that valve...until today. BTW what would have been some other symptoms of over pressurizing the case?

i think that was my problem as well ..

the stock part that i used instead of a T tube was closed, so OMR probably is right

anyways ... I fixed the damn thing! took it out for a ride in the weekend and the bitch runs!

Congrats! I guess I lucked out; I used the correct t-valve and avoided damage for 5 years lol.
