\r\n \r\n that 310 kit should help. eventually i\'ll be doing the 290 or 310 kit for my wr to add some more snap to her. wish yami would make a 350x i think itd be a perfect bike. i got a feelin the new wr450f will be in my garage within the next year or 2 tho so not sure how much more money i wanna throw into mine. finding a used street legal wr450f with FI is gonna probly take a while to get ahold of.\r\n

the yz250f has way more balls than wr ( 6 more hp, 75 lbs less) I was clickin the triples and smokin fools on 450s at the motocross track. I cant wait to get my sumo wheels and see whats up with it on the street. I know I\'m gonna need mo powa though. Im gonna spin 60ft circles on it though!!\r\n

\r\n \r\n I\'ve been riding a YZ250F 2002 on the streets for a while now (dirt tires though), and i definitely feel i need more power :/ Still fun as fuck though!\r\n

\r\n \r\n ive riden a few they feel very similar to the WR really. maybe over stock there 6hp more but deff not much over a modded one, but both need more power lol. should be a fun bike to flick around tho\r\n

\r\n \r\n it\'s a trade up, you will get slightly less HP and slightly more weight on the WRF compare to the YZ, but the gearbox is much much wider ratio, which means higher speeds in last gear, and really slow speed in first gear, so it makes a good all around street & parking lot killer without any gearing changes, you can hit high speeds on the backroads, and stop into the lot for a session with stock sprockets.... where with the YZ you would have to gear it for one or the other (parking lot or street) ... you will get more power and some less weight out of the YZ ... but if you like to hit the backroads for some faster speed action as well the WRF would be a good choice because of the wide ratio transmission \r\n

\nOn my stock YZ with 48 rear sprocket, it was a little wrung out on the roads up at about 50mph. Over the winter I threw on a Athena 290 kit and put in WR 4th and 5th gears Best of both worlds! You just drop them in. You can even do a full WR tranny swap, but I like the stock 1-3 for offroad riding. Now it runs fine on the streets, except I\'m running knobbies and tubliss tubes that are way off balance so when I get up to about 40 it starts humping like crazy

\nThe 290 gave it so much grunt on the low end! 1st-3rd it will lift the front without even trying! That\'s with stock porting and FMF powerbomb and powercore.

\nRight now I\'m still planning, but I\'m thinking a custom sub frame/round bar/ rear pegs and a hand brake setup, then all I have to do is get a set of sumo wheels and swap between them and knobbies for the ultimate on road off road stunting machine! Then I\'ll need to rig some lights and a fan. And fab up a nice under tail exhaust for my custom subframe... and... I need to stop thinking about this and focus on my 636 build

It's got a wide ratio transmission, so nice slow 1st gear for the parking lot, and a nice and wide 5th gear for the street, fuel injection will let it run vertical all day long, and it weighs less than the WR250X by 25lbs, and has a 450cc engine, Ryan at 50stunt has plans to make duel calipers for the WR's, and that makes it even sweeter
