B-Town Showdown May 31st-Jun 2nd

Wanting to get everyone's input on the B-Town Showdown this year. Looks like we will be going back to our original format from 2009 with a cash purse, prizes, free ride Thursday the 31 st and comps Friday and Saturday. This is the weekend after memorial day. Who is down??!!

I feel like the event has lacked in some way or the other the past two years, but I plan on changing that.

As some of you know my close friend Dereck Ellsworth was killed on his motorcycle(on the streets) the opening night of the event last year. I had been riding with Dereck since the first time he threw his leg over a bike, and it has been very hard getting all this back into perspective. Dereck left behind two children Memphis his son who is now 1 year old and his daughter Jayden who is 6. From this point forward the B-Town Showdown is going to place a portion of the proceeds from the event into a trust fund that will paid to his kids. I can't imagine growing up in this world not knowing my dad or having his support. I feel this is the least that I can do to carry on his memory. We have big plans in the works for this year and I think everyone will be excited to hear what we have going down. I will release this information as it becomes official!! Lets get down in B-Town!! 2012

That was the problem 2 yrs ago for sure! It was torture! I think the weather will be more pleasant earlier in the year. We tried pushing it back to the first of Sept last year for Labor Day and we didn't have a good turn out.

I think if i remember right last year the date wasn't set until later, too short of notice for me to get a major weekend off like labor day. Or atleast that's why I remember not being able to make it... Earlier in the year should be a lot better weather wise... My Colorado native ass didn't do so good in that humidity 2 years ago... LOL

Yea, I am sure that was a weather shock for you!! btw have you rode with my buddy Brett up there at all? Hadn't seen or heard from him in awhile.

I think so at the Denver Halloween ride, I wrecked in the middle of that ride and a couple buddies had a nasty head on at the lot afterwards so that in between I was cussing at my road rash and trying to get safe again LOL... Only been up that way a couple times this winter tho... I'm sure ill run into him this summer tho
