+1 I loved running through the woods as dirty as an animal after a week in the field and opening up with the pig (60mm) killing shit......but it didn\'t help me in life......just a good time!! \r\n

\r\n \r\n So the overall consensus is to not go.. I appreciate all of the advice, still giving this alot of thought. I definately dont trust everything recruitors say. To my understanding, id make 1300, plus 1300 for being married, college- if I dont use it my girl can, extra 1300 for going to school plus I get to live off base... Can anyone verify this?\r\n

No he didn\'t lie about that. If you are married you will make about that much with your little extra you get for being married. You as a married guy also gets what you call separation pay when you have to be away from your wife whether training or downrange. Army along with any branch is what you make of it.\r\n
