what to pickup at a gun show?

theres a gun show coming up this weekend in houston, and i have bout 400 to spend on a new toy... thinking about a rueger 10/22 or something, but then also looking into a shot gun. if you had 4-500 bucks to spend on a rifle/shotgun, what would you be looking at?

id save up a little more if i was going to get a rifle. im kicking myself in the ass for not buying the sig sauer 556 for 1700$ and it came with a 1000$ 2 day training course in vegas.
if you want a cheap rifle id look for any AR 15-22LR id also love to own a Mosberg 500. you can always add more to it later like pistol grips, folding stock, big ass muzzle break, etc...

Mossberg 835 2 3/4 to 3 1/2 lots of parts and a tank.
Ruger 10/22 are nice if you like modding. Otherwise look at marlins or savage for a 22 be more accurate out of the box. 835s go for 200$ or more at gander all the time. 22s I just passed on a Ruger 10/22 with scope for 100$ my other 22s I paid $40 each for. Sometimes.there's deals at gun shows but be careful.

B-Dub, id love to have an AR of sorts, but i want to build one to my spec and that will cost me a pretty penny haha. may look at some AK's depending on how much ammo is out there.

i could kick myself for selling my ak 8 yrs ago. it was an slr95(bulgarian version). held up to 100 round drum. sold it, 2 russian 40round mags and 1000 rounds of ammo for 600. i needed the dough at the time, that guy got the deal of a lifetime. i heard he's in jail now. wonder what happened to that gun. shoulda never done that

damn, thats a hell of a deal, i dont think i could afford to shoot 100 round drums at a time haha. i have a Mosin Nagant carbine that shoots 7.62x54r and even buying surplus ammo it is expensive haha

do have a remington 870 sps though. love that gun.
best of all world. 20" barrel(shortest allowed by law)but its rifled for accuracy. extra 2 round capacity and capability of up to 3 1/2 in rounds. 3 1/2 is like shootin a canon

well i ended up not getting anything today at the show, soo many options, not enough money. but my brother called me after the show and said one of his employees has a mossberg tactical .22 rifle for sale, may pick that up tomorrow.
