So i smashed my cap while beating tank and got a vortex. Cant get this thing to seal worth shit ! My ass burns with the fire of 1000 suns and i hate it ! How can you seal this whore up ? I tried adding an o ring to the bottom and it worked for a bit or at least slowed it down but it still leaks. What do i do ! im about ready to drain an entire tube of seal-all under the cap base and bolt her down. What are you guys doing to fix this.

I did the same thing... its hideous but I run a bead of black gasket maker around it on the outside of the cap... works for a while... only solution ive found, tried putting silicone under the cap and bolting it down, didnt last as long though

it almost looks like the bottom near the hole is sealed proper, but its comming from just under the cap then down the little breather hole and bypassing the bottom seal and out it comes. If i seal it all up then it wont vent hey ? Im thinking of putting an oring or something so when u tighten the cap down it actually seals to the bottom of the base as well. U have problems with ur bike running like turd when u put the silicone around the outter part ? At this point id rather make a run, pop the cap and make another run then ride one more time with a burning ring of fire.

Seal the base to the tank with quick steel or something of that nature... After the vent tubes are kinked the vortex cap on the R6 is gonna leak

I used silicone at first but the gas eats it away then I started using quick steel and it's all ull ever need... I just went around and pushed it in the crack between the base and the tank and she's good to go
