im going to buy one this week, i ccould at least do clip on's, rear sets, and rims. the gun and stuff would pay itself off after just a couple jobs, and if people really like it, i know a shit ton of motorcycle clubs in the area that all over pay for therre shit and i could charge them just under what a normal company would.

That gun is a piece of shit and if you start powder coating I will hate on your hard core. Professional powder coaters invest $100,000+ into their equipment, people like you jumping in with a $200 gun and stealing work fucks up the industry. There is more to powder coating than just spraying powder onto a part and curing it. Its a science. I put in 6 months of hard research and then spent $22,000+ on professional equipment to get started. Currently I am in the process of trying to buy out my old man that invested $350,000 of his money to grow my company, he and my mother have screwed the company up pretty bad and I am making one last attempt to repair it. If any more fuckers like you come into my market when I have almost $500K in debt over my head I'm gonna put on a ski mask at night and go hunting.


by the time you figure out how to put out a quality product, you will have spent 10x what it would cost to powder coat every part on your bike. Its not worth it. You really want to get into coating, get some real money together, get real equipment and I'll help you put out quality products. If you want to do bike rims for people half assed and charge $50 a pair, you can go fuck yourself hard with your moms dildo!

and no, those people are not over paying for their stuff, atleast not if its done properly. I wont touch a set of candy rims for less than $300, I have to spend $120 on powder, I dont "buy by the pound" I buy FRESH powder from the Mfg. and start to finish a set of candy wheels is every bit of 4 hours x 80/hr shop labor, do the math, $300 is a deal and they fucking bling!

ysr does some on the best powder around...very anal about everything being 100% right and quality is #1 at his shop... put it this way.... i could ride my bike in his oven...no problem...i think his powder gun alone cost more them mine and his f4i put together..

it would just be for homies and friends. luckily its america and i can do what i want. so no sweat off my back.

i plan on starting school for cnc machining this fall semsester, so i will be trying to find an intern job somehwere that will allow me to work with powder and basic fab skills.
