Weird question but i need it answerd

if i keep two identical cameras with identical settings right next to eachother recording the same thing. the only difference is one camera is taking pictures every 2 seconds or 5 seconds for time lapse. and the other is simply making a video.. both run for 1 hour.
after that i edit the footage. for timelapse i leave it like that and the other one, the plain video i just make it faster x2 or x5 or x10 whatever.

whats going to be the difference?
shouldnt it be the same???

To answer your direct question, the difference will be one is an image sequence and the other is a video.

that was filmed with a gopro HD set to take pics every 2 seconds. Then brought in through quicktime 7 as an image sequence @ 29.27fps

most post editors will allow you to set this up however you want it. Premier CS5 will bring in the image sequence as whatever you have your frame rate & transitions set to...

yes... However, it varies depending on how you shoot it and how you set it up in post.

Its pretty simple.

Tim elapse is where you take photos and put them together to create a video.

The shorter the distance between each photo the more video like your time lapse will be, the longer distance between each photo the more jerky and twitchy the video will be.
