Not enough lows or highs. Tell him to pick a frequency direction and go with it. If he wants to do dubstep he needs to make the bass hit harder. That shit needs to make my ear drums tickle. Right now it's just kinda... bleh.

Tips: Heavier Bass lines, possibly a few high end bars added in the track(could be substituted for a females voice). Tell him to keep at it though. I've just started producing music and I love it. I know it takes a shit load of practice to get anywhere with it though, just like stunting.
