How much $ have you spent on one stunt bike?!

around 5g+ which is too much for an ez i know. then another 5hundo on a trailer and another 250 to 300 on a hitch and wiring for my car to tow it. and i never ride. lol

if your gonna build a bike to stunt anyways you dont have to have a mint fairing bike to do so, can find dropped or lightly messed up bikes fairly easy its all in what you want. ive never paid over 6 for any bike ive had and been able to find any model ive wanted.

Lol. Had an 08 that I also got super cheap.. Swapped front and rear ends. Hb setup. Sold everything off and the parts I got off this one when I bought it for $2500... And sold the other stuff from the 08 for $1600.. So $900 in a set up ff 03-04.. Bought multiple hb masters trying to find what I like, the levers, and had to put a round bar and upgraded the cage. Then the damper and tank and busa rotor upgrade. So not much in it at all.. Just hunted deals and held out for my asking prices on stuff I sold. (My prices were already section 8 prices and people still low balled me. )

Man the numbers you guys are throwing out there, You could buy a welder and a grinder and make your own shit and still come out ahead.
Heres my list:

$2400 - 03 636 pretty much stock except for race rails and a carbon muzzy pipe. Close to mint condition.
-$550 - Sold fairings and other plastic pieces that I would otherwise just break
-$100 - sold the pipe
- $50 - Sold the oem clipons
- $20 - Sold the oem brake rotor

So that brings me down to $1680 for a clean title unstunted stripped 636. Now to build it upt he mikem Way - cheap.

$1680
+$100 - traded my race rails and a hundred bucks for a tygershark
+$100 - used OMR
+ $30 - zx11d rotor off ebay
+ $20 - traded my oem rear master for an old school billet FTI
+ $20 - used stock pipe

Up to $1950 so far, and thats the last $$ I spent on build up parts

Home made stuff:
Made my own caliper bracket - easiest bike ever
Made my own rearsets - easiest bike ever
Made my own rad cage - for the amount of time i spent, I should bought one when dcp had em on sale.
Made my own scrape bar
Made my own tank lip
Made my own rear shock spacer/ignition bracket combo
Extended my clutch arm myself
The money saved right there is enough to buy a beginner mig welder, grinder and a small drill press.

Vortex clipons, Brembo 16x16, and MSR easy pull from my old bike. Recycling = winning.

Total - $1950 plus a dozen hours in the shop.

Id say That depends. for me when i started out working on it was half the fun, and still is. also if your new it helps to learn the insides and out of your bike as you build it and knowing what you've done to it instead of having to worry about the person you bought a bike from already having done something wrong.

edit: i missed the word "wallet" when i first read it. definitely right on that. you just miss out on the learning experience

+15 for an 8ft piece of bar stock
+530 for bad ass frame +100 for shipping and things going wrong with it
+180 on point sub cage
+100 stock r6 brembo
+230 NDC bracket
+200 in hb lines from destroying them in crashes
+70 in spray paint
+80 NDC rad cage
+150 fork seal replacement
+180 Stealth stay
+110 used sprocket and cheap chain
+100 for powder coating entire bike
at least +200 for the amount of calipers I've bought for different set ups I've used.

so right at 5,500. and I'm not done building it yet either. and now that i start thinking of the miscellaneous items such as nitrile gloves, fluids, missing bolts, stopped bolts. the list will go on forever.

and i don't regret one penny of it.

+unlimited amounts of money spent on BEER while working on it lol
