whats the difference between the HD960 and HD1080 versions other then price? i was under the impression the GoPro only shoots video in 720p at 60fps anyway. so the 1080 doesnt matter if all id use it for is shooting video right?

the 960 doesn't record at 60 fps in 720p mode, and wont do 1080p. Also the 960 won't take addons like the lcd screen, but it might take other addons I'm not sure.

I'm not "sure" but I've heard the 960 isn't wide screen, but I'm not positive on that. The 1080p records in wide screen.

Unless you can get the 960 super cheap and don' care about the 1080's options, I'd go with the 1080..

I know some people say they'd rather get a 960 cause its "$180 or $200" but you can get a 1080p one for only $230-$250, so might as well just get the 1080p imo!

ok sounds good, but now what about wideangle vs. fisheye. is it all the same? it seems that every gopro video i watch is a lame ass fish eye angle that literally is making me sick to even watch. im tired of seeing helmet cam videos from people with long akward bowed out arms or the pavment looking like a fish bowl.. is there a way to change that view? fish eye is cool. when it comes to still pictures. but thats about it

yeah i think you can change the angle to like 270 and something else, the 1080 has more options i think....also im not exactly sure but i dont know if the 960 can take pics? maybe someone knows but i like how you can take a ton of pics too haha but like towileee said unless u can get the 960 dirt cheap might as well get the 1080 since they can be picked up for like 240 and sometimes 200 if you are lucky

yeah.. wasnt planning on blowing a bunch of cash for this trip but i heard that GoPros make your wheelies improve by 36% so i guess i have too
