\r\n \r\n I\'m not gonna read this whole thread but if u are going behind BP and it starts to highside counter steer that bitch and push it down into the circle\r\n

\r\n \r\n Well i finally got off staggered stance. (i HAVE to give the arms a break) and got started with fis... I got 1 hander fis on lock as of today so I\'m gonna dip back into learning circles.
\n
\nThe storm was rollin in so I had to leave before I could really get a lot of practice so im gonna post up where i left off today. I\'m still leavin my handbrake untouched while trying to master fb so I\'m stuck doing fis circles for now.
\n
\nHow the heck do you get the bike to dip to the circle in this stance? I am running shinko tires sadly and cant wait to get some actual round tires... The tires shouldnt make that big a difference right?
\n
\nI tried shifting the tail under me to the rightpushing the bars to the left to do left circles but once I get my leg straightened back up the bike just stands up and I\'m doing a straight wheelie. It\'s not really highsiding like it was on the staggered circles. I am inline with the bike.
\n
\nI also had a couple times where the bike actually went right because I had too much pressure on the right rearset. Those times I just went with it, stayed inline with the bike, gased it. Again, once I got my left leg where it needs to be in the seat the bike stood up, i slipped the clutch to avoid a stallout due to brake and went straight.
\n
\nEdit: Idle is about 3200 - 3500 (gauge doesnt work..). I feel pretty comfy with it and It usually carries the bike for at least 3 - 4 seconds without any brake input.\r\n

\r\n \r\n Why go left? My FIS circle attempts (foot brake) all go Right. I think about attempting going left and its a joke lol.
\n
\nMy SS have a tendancy to want to go left though. But ive yet to get a half ass\'d rotation using my HB. Which i actually gave up on using this season for circle learning ive gone all foot brake and FIS.... turning right lol.
\n
\nIm JUST starting to get my bike to start doing tight"er" circles. I usually do a few wider ones ( 15 ft radius ish) then start to turn them tighter and spiral into a tight one. or two.
\n
\nWhat i found out was i use to much brake. just tap\'s and dont drag it. I was dragging mine till i started conciously thinking about not doing it. Turn up your idle to compensate for having to use alot more gas (this helped me) And also get that bitch higher then you think you even should be and thats where it will dip. Keeping it up that high seems to be the key.
\n
\nIm basically learning these all on my own and getting shown up by a rookie thats done nothing but circle attempts all season. Everyone learns differently so only tips can help you.
\n
\nThanks to this thread i may have found the final missing link to doing these. My body positioning is terrible. I lean like a mofo into my turns. I gotta start staying centered and bring the bars into my chest more. I knew my body position was off a long time ago. But i also wasnt turning them like i am now. So now maybe if i correct my body position and add everything ive learned with them the last 3 months. I might start turning respectable tight circles lol.\r\n

\r\n \r\n Good point haha. I\'ll try to focus on going right for now. Seemed to be easier to accidently get it started anyway...
\n
\nI\'m about to go back out if it\'s not raining and bringing it way back to dip into the circle.
\n
\nI bet it\'ll come pretty easy once I can get this entry on lock. My staggereds were pretty good but just got so fatigued I could never quite get all the way around or practice enough for that matter. It\'s definately noticable when you are in the sweet spot goin around in a O. I\'ve just had trouble finding it again; just like first learning bp i guess.\r\n

\r\n \r\n Well im doing SS circles to the left and for me what worked was instead of leaning to start the circle I pull on the right clip on therefore countersteering the bike and making it lean left. It also keeps me more centered over the bike and in better position. From what people have told me my initial dip in is good i just need to get the feel of bliping the throttle at the right time.\r\n

\nYea man, timing sure seems to play a huge role in this game. For quite awhile I was tapping the brake too late when workin idle and slowing down the bike instead of just holding it. I\'m finally starting to anticipate the need for the brake and already hitting it right as its starting to com back a little too far. Probably the same with the circles and throttle. Doesn\'t seem like there\'s a whole lot of time to make a correction after the front end starts to take a dip way down. Waiting too long was causing excessive throttle due to panic.. Well, only practice is gonna help. It\'ll finally go a full 360 in time :P\r\n

\r\n \r\n I rode for a few hours today. I\'m doing better actually getting the bike to turn into the circle but I\'m still havin issues with the bike standing back up and going straight once I get back inline with the tank (after initial dip in). I had a few that did a total 180 and it felt very comfortable and almost effortless (just worked gas and brake like I do on straight line wheelies, like someone previously said).. I dropped them down after that since I got so excited and forgot I was going for 360 degrees haha. At least I know what I\'m looking for now.
\n
\nI picked up a go pro yesterday so I can start posting vids. It\'s getting tough not having anyone to ride with or even hang out and watch/film. I\'m basically going with straight trial and error on body position, gas, brake, etc. Def awesome once you finally nail a new trick though. It\'s great having these tips on here and they make a worlds difference but in the end I need to at least have someone else watching this stuff on cam or in person.
\n
\nThanks again for all of the help! Give me a couple days to get used to getting an angle setup on this camera. Never used one before. I guess I can take my netbook out to the lot.\r\n

\nIm at the same point you are Jake. I ride alone 99% of the time and rarely have a buddy or two that can kill circles come to the lot. I can do recon circles ALLLLL day long and i know for a fact that i am using my body WAY to damn much, which is probably hurting me more and more by now.
\n
\nIve been doing left foot on passenger peg and right foot in my seat hole, going left. I can kill circles on my fiddy but the f4i sketches me out a lil bit when trying to circle since im only 5\'8" 140lbs lol\r\n
